A flood defence and blast protection engineering company are looking for an ambitious and talented Assistant Project Manager to work in the heart of their projects team. The role will be working with the team delivering bespoke flood defence projects across the UK and blast protection projects across the globe.
The role is a varied and challenging one, encompassing technical and administrative responsibilities. Therefore they expect candidates interested in the role to show a broad understanding of engineering disciplines – both mechanical and civil – and demonstrate competence in best practice project management methods.
Duties will include managing and coordinating the project design process, working alongside an MM Engineering design engineer, completion of project documentation, including project programmes using MS Project, completion of project-specific health and safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements and audits, undertaking project-specific procurement activities, coordinating any subcontractors involved in project activities, managing customer communications throughout the delivery phase of the project and preparing and submitting project close-out documentation.
It is essential to hold a Level 3 in Engineering as this role will be studying towards a level 4 via Gower College Swansea.
